The founder and president of Communications for Everyone, LLC, is Kelly Vandever.
Kelly is a presentation skills expert who delights in helping others find their voice.
An awarding winning speaker herself, Kelly has spent nine years studying the art and science of public speaking. She is a member of Toastmasters International and was selected the 2007 Toastmasters of the Year for the state of Georgia. Kelly is a national member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and an Academy member for the National Speakers Association (NSA). In 2008, she was given the Special Interest Group Achievement Award for the Atlanta Chapter of ASTD. Kelly is an associate with and on the board of the Georgia Chapter of the NSA. She is also the Editor-in-Chief of Georgia Speaker magazine. Kelly has attended local and national conferences, read dozens of books and articles, and listened to hundreds of hours of recorded materials on speaking. She brings the years of study into focused learning to help clients open up Communications for Everyone.
Kelly's professional career includes 20+ years of management experience as a military officer and a manager in four Fortune 500 companies. Kelly blends practical, real-world perspective with goal-oriented vision. Her high energy delivery, interactive style and positive, forward-looking focus have engaged and encouraged audiences for years.
Kelly received her BA in Sociology from Iowa State and her Masters of Management Science from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. An 11 year veteran of the U.S. Navy, Kelly rose to the rank of Lieutenant Commander and was awarded two Navy Commendation Medals for personal achievement while on active duty. After leaving the service, she worked in the information technology field over 13 years, managing both HR and IT professionals.
Kelly is married to her college sweetheart, Rich Vandever, and the couple have two adult children and one precious grandchild. Kelly and Rich reside in a suburb north of Atlanta.
