Thank you, Kelly, for the incredible “Presentation Skills for Non-Presenters” training that you provided to our AT&T Client Relationship Management team. You really grasped and addressed the challenges faced by technical resources giving presentations and provided them with great tips and advice on how to stand out in the crowd with their presentations. Typically, IT presentations are quite boring and uninspiring. They don’t grab the audience and hold them captive. I had grown weary of telling my team to be more animated and interesting in their presentations, yet continuing to see the same jumble of disconnected bullets on every slide. When a team member recommended that you to come in for team training, I thought it was a great idea.
Not only did you help them with their presentation skills, you narrowed down into the extremely difficult concept of virtual presentations. Our company is so demographically diverse that all of our meetings and presentations are online and via phone. We rarely get the opportunity to see the body language or the facial expressions of the people listening to our presentations. We can’t even tell if they are multi-tasking while we are presenting! I really believe that your advice to them about telling a story, putting a smile in their voice, using voice inflection and rehearsing their presentations will prove invaluable to them as they move forward.
I am thankful that some from my team are receiving personal coaching from you and I am confident that it will give them an advantage in the competitive workplace. Thanks for your help and I look forward to opportunities to work with you in the future.
